Palm Oil Can Be Sustainable
Updated 2 September 2019
The RSPO has developed a set of environmental and social criteria which companies must comply with in order to produce Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). When they are properly applied, these criteria can help to minimize the negative impact of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities in palm oil-producing regions. In Nov 2018 RSPO added a requirement of zero deforestation in order to be able to obtain RSPO certification. This is currently being rolled out and implemented.

Here's our target to be a part of this initiative:

PolyGreen Chemicals is able to deliver its bio-polyols based on RSPO credits, mass-balance certified and segregated certified sources.

We're committed to sourcing only deforestation free palm oil.

Our aim and challenge is to educate the market to accept that palm oil can and should be sustainably sourced. This will in the end benefit the farmers, their families, and prevent further degradation of the remaining rainforests - meeting the common goal.
